Precision Fermentation

Is it really ice cream without the cows?

A team of scientists at CSIRO were working on something complex and needed to communicate it simply but interestingly to average non-scientist folks.

Precision Fermentation isn’t something that I imagine many people have heard of, although it already plays a significant role in many industries, including pharmaceuticals, as well as being a key part of some pretty funky, futuristic things like genuine cow-free dairy.

The process initially involved a series of meetings with the team, filled with lots of questions (from me) and lots of patience (from the team). By using a few key messages as a filter we eventually distilled it all down to the essentials.

The outcome: a short, punchy, visually engaging explainer of what would otherwise be a highly complex, scientific process.
